Here at Immersify HQ, our team of master 3D artists has spent the past year breathing life into a steady stream of new learning content produced by clinical subject matter experts, adding new dimensions to areas as varied as:
- Communication
- Respiratory conditions
- Pathophysiology
- Mental health
- Cancer
- And an enormous quantity of clinical skills content, covering everything from patient assessment and vital signs to wound care and cardiac skills
But this overview doesn’t do justice to the sheer quantity of the resources produced over the past year.
Read on to get the behind-the-scenes statistics, discover what that means for Immersify’s capacity to support learners, and enjoy our team’s hand-picked favorites from 2025.
Immersify’s Year in Numbers
Over the past 12 months, Immersify has produced 1,615 assets.
That’s quite the figure in itself. Here’s the breakdown:
- 364 2D assets
- 680 3D assets
- 571 video assets
This influx of content is a testament to the team’s dedication, but it’s also indicative of the wealth of expertise that’s been poured into the platform in 2025, and especially in relation to nursing: a key academic area for Immersify, and one that’s seen 50 new or (thanks to Immersify’s ever-advancing infrastructure) upgraded games and simulations in the past year.
In fact, Immersify’s commitment to nursing is now so extensive that it’s expanded beyond the borders of the platform and made its way onto Coursera!

Conquering Coursera
2025 saw the release of no fewer than three specializations on Coursera: in-depth collections of modules and courses that collectively cover:
- Anatomy and physiology
- Clinical skills
- Nursing fundamentals
Together, these specializations comprise 14 individual courses, each one packed with foundational knowledge: perfect for new nursing students, people curious about nursing or other healthcare professions, or career changers looking to take their first steps into training for a new vocation.
And, with the launch of these courses, it’s been phenomenal to see these learners progress across:
- 12,846 enrolments
- 2,845 course completions
- Over 30,000 item completions
That’s a lot of future, prospective, or budding nurses to train up and cheer on, and the team has been hard at work building and refining resources that facilitate a smooth transition into the world of healthcare.

3 Hand-Picked Favorites
With well over 1,500 assets under Immersify’s belt across the past 12 months, it’s impossible to describe them all. So, instead, we asked our team to hand-pick a selection of their favourites. And, after much deliberation, here’s what they came up with.
1) A New Suite of High-Fidelity Characters
One of the most exciting developments of the past year has been the creation of a new suite of characters, built to provide an even more realistic experience for learners across a wide range of learning activities.
The characters depicted below are starting to populate the platform in a variety of ways. In a nursing context, learners might encounter them while selecting the best way to communicate effectively. Immersify’s community of dental learners, meanwhile, might be more interested in their ultra-detailed oral cavities!
2) The Anatomy of the Knee
Created in the dim and distant past of February, this demonstration of knee movement takes learners on a detailed, movement-focused journey through the muscles and bones of the leg.
This is an excellent means of helping learners visualize anatomy and physiology in ways that textbooks just can’t cover. In the words of Immersify’s own Dr. Martin Ling: patients aren’t usually 2D (or transparent, either!).
3) Laparoscopic Surgery
If the knee movement asset gives learners an opportunity to better visualize anatomy in theoretical terms, this year’s new laparoscopic surgery resource does much the same for the practicalities of this key procedure.
In many ways, this resource emblematizes the advantages of a simulation-based, interactivity-led approach to learning. Laparoscopic surgery is built around the limited vision a camera can provide, which can make it difficult for any of the parties involved to visualize how organ and instrument interact (especially when learning aids take the form of 2D diagrams).
Understanding precisely what’s going on and why, from any angle and orientation, is the best way for learners to understand how best to support patient-centered care.
