In an exciting new collaboration, Immersify has partnered with the NHS North Central London Cancer Alliance to introduce an innovative eLearning platform that enhances cancer care training for primary care staff. This collaboration aims to elevate cancer knowledge and improve patient outcomes across North London through a suite of interactive, expert-developed modules. By aligning content with the specific needs of primary care clinical and non-clinical staff, Immersify and the North Central London Cancer Alliance are setting a new standard in educational resources that track and support learners’ progress, ensuring high-impact training in cancer care.

“We partnered with Immersify as they provide an easy to use and engaging method for helping primary care staff better support patients’ experience of cancer diagnosis and care,” said Oliver Gregory, Programme Lead-North Central London Cancer Alliance.

The core of this platform is the primary care cancer academy, a comprehensive resource tailored to meet the educational needs of both clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals. Within this engaging platform, users gain access to an accredited eLearning tool that strengthens skills in early cancer diagnosis and overall patient care practices. This streamlined resource, which includes engaging 3D models within lessons and quizzes, and immersive simulations and scenarios, allows staff to navigate cancer-focused content easily, emphasising the importance of early detection, prompt referral and efficient patient support.

Addressing Real-World Challenges in Cancer Communication and Care

Recognising the complex nature of cancer communication, Immersify collaborated closely with NHS staff to design modules addressing core aspects of cancer knowledge, patient communication, care applications, and decision-making. These specialised resources empower healthcare professionals to navigate challenging conversations with confidence, equipping them to support patients through informed, compassionate care decisions. This alignment with identified staff needs ensures the training is relevant to everyday clinical practice.

Expert-Crafted, Quality Assured Content

To deliver accurate and effective training, each module and resource was developed by Immersify and rigorously quality assured by NHS cancer specialists. This review process ensures that all material is both clinically sound and engaging, helping to nurture continuous professional growth. Immersify’s approach integrates reliable content with interactive 3D models, enhancing staff engagement and aligning with the NHS’s commitment to high-quality, impactful cancer care resources.

Focused Training on Cancer and Early Detection

The academy also provides targeted learning on Upper GI cancers, covering essential topics such as red flag symptoms, risk factors, typical signs and symptoms and the critical role of early diagnosis and prompt referral. By deepening healthcare professionals’ understanding of these cancers, the platform supports timely diagnosis efforts that can significantly improve patient outcomes. Immersify’s collaboration with the NHS marks an important step forward in specialised cancer education, creating a platform that combines high-quality content with ease of access.

Advancing Cancer Care Through Knowledge and Innovation

This partnership between Immersify and the North Central London Cancer Alliance has produced an advanced and immersive eLearning solution that empowers healthcare staff to deliver exceptional care. Through innovative, targeted training, this collaboration meets the urgent need for improved cancer communication, early detection, and informed decision-making. As Immersify continues to support NHS staff in advancing their skills, this educational platform holds the potential to make a meaningful impact on patient care outcomes across North London.
